Our
Consecrated Life In His faithful love, God has called us to a special
consecration, deeply rooted in our baptism to live the
evangelical counsels as Little Sisters of Jesus and Mary. God
gives us the gift and mission to proclaim to others His
overwhelming goodness.
Relying on this grace of divine election, we freely respond by
offering our total gift of self to Christ in love. We accept His
pattern of life -- chaste, poor, and obedient -- so that our
whole life is consecrated to God.
A life in daily fidelity to our vocation is a gift and at the
same time a lifetime pursuit. Aware of our human limitations, we
place all our trust in the faithfulness of God who calls us. An
exterior sign of our consecration is the religious habit of our
congregation. It must be worn at all times.
Through her life, Mary made visible in a perfect way the glad
tidings of the Gospel and participated in the redemptive mission
of her Son. In her complete dedication to the Lord in faith and
love, she is the model of our daily surrender to the ever new
call of God. We honor Mary as Mother of the Church and as
patroness of our congregation, and St. Joseph as our provider
and protector.
In our daily life we strive to imitate and acquire the
deep spirituality of Brother Charles de Foucauld; his love of the
Eucharist, his universal charity and love for the poor, his
simplicity and poverty of life-style, and his contemplative
spirit.
