Greetings! Welcome to the website for the Joseph House and the Little Sisters of Jesus and Mary. Both organizations were started in Baltimore by Sr. Mary Elizabeth Gintling (1914-2004). On our website, you can learn how we serve the poor through the various ministries of the Joseph House, which include cash and food assistance for those with emergency needs (Joseph House Crisis Center), job-readiness training for homeless men (Joseph House Workshop), and a religious bookstore (Joseph House by the Sea). There is information on how you can join us in helping the less fortunate by volunteering or making a donation.
